What are the house rules for Bliss Cottage?
A signed renter agreement is required within 48 hours of booking. Max occupancy is 2 guests (sofa bed may host a 3rd; all guests must be listed). Pets welcome up to 2—$150 pet fee required at booking; failure to disclose pets incurs a $200/pet fine; no pets on furniture or in the hot tub. No parties or glitter. Strict no smoking/vaping indoors. Quiet hours 10 PM–7 AM per City of Fredericksburg ordinance. Please turn off exterior lights after 10 PM (Dark Sky Community). Use designated on-property parking; limit street parking to one car. Checkout: towels to laundry room, trash to outdoor cans, dishes in dishwasher started.
Are pets allowed?
Yes! Bliss Cottage is pet friendly (up to 2 pets). A $150 pet fee is required at the time of booking. Please disclose all pets in advance— failure to do so results in a $200/pet fine. Pets are not allowed on furniture or in the hot tub.
How far is the property from Main Street?
Just 3 blocks from Fredericksburg's East Main Street. You can walk to wine tasting rooms, restaurants, and boutiques in under 5 minutes.
Is the hot tub available year-round?
Yes, the hot tub is available year-round and is professionally cleaned between every stay. Please shower before use.
What are the hot tub rules?
Hot tub use is at your own risk. Maintain the temperature between 100°F and 104°F—do not enter if it exceeds 104°F, and limit sessions to 15 minutes. Do not sit, stand, or jump on the cover. No jumping or diving. Avoid excessive splashing as it can damage the circuit board. No oils or soaps in the spa. Children under 18 must be supervised at all times. Avoid alcohol or drowsy medications while soaking. Pregnant women, the elderly, and those with heart conditions should consult a doctor first. Always replace the cover when not in use.
What is the cancellation policy?
Guests receive a 97% refund (less a $50 cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs 30+ days before arrival; 50% refund (less a $50 fee) if 14–30 days before arrival; no refund within 14 days of arrival. Travel insurance, damage protection, and processing fees are non-refundable. A $300 refundable security deposit is held 2 days prior to check-in and released 2 days after checkout.
